We are currently conducting soil investigation works at Sekolah Kebangsaan Lapasan, focusing on boreholes located along the slope. This data is crucial for planning slope mitigation measures. The slopes in the area consist of natural slopes, with evident signs of landslides and erosion.
Additionally, most slopes have poor vegetation cover, which exacerbates the risk of instability. Visible distress on these slopes poses a significant threat to the school building located at the crest.
The scope of work includes:
- Soil investigation and testing through boreholes.
- Mackintosh probe testing.
- Detailed surveying.
- Laboratory tests.
- Engineering geological mapping.
