Today, we are at the JMG Sabah office with the Unit Hidrogeologi and IADA Kota Belud for the kick-off meeting. The project aims to assess the feasibility of groundwater extraction in the area to support paddy fields and help mitigate the effects of drought and climate change.

JMG Sabah has outlined several key scopes to confirm the presence of groundwater and evaluate whether it is feasible for extraction in the selected areas.

The project will involve the following scopes of work:

  1. 2D geophysical surveys.
  2. Deep borehole drilling.
  3. Test well drilling.
  4. Pumping test and aquifer analysis
  5. Water quality analysis.
